“9+0+9+1” is the attempt to unveil, through a sequence of 19 sketches and notes, the reality of the Milan 90/91 line, its passengers, the places it passes through and the parts of the city that it unites along its circular route. The story is a sort of partial portrait, recorded while on board, during the various moments of the day, and then drawn down on paper during breaks, in bars, in gardens or at the bus stops. The sketches, drawn from memory, are a non-invasive tool, a portrait made without focusing on objectives, an “a posteriori” process. Sketches are made by an architect based in Rome, who has been using public transport for years to get around the delirium of the capital. For the first time he is not using the bus to reach a specific destination, but to stay on board and look around, a voluntary prisoner of a place that allows you to move while sitting, to experience glimpses of existence for the short time of a few stops. He is a passenger-observer, suspended in the perpetual motion of 90/91.
