This design seeks to rethink the residential typology for holidays, in a key that “summarizes” the characteristics of the place and the ways of living already present in its hosting area (Fregene).
Each residence will have a “common” space on the ground floor, placed in direct contact with the external areas, with the idea that the latter can become one with the internal spaces during the summer season. One of the “novelty” elements, compared to the surrounding typologies, will be energy efficiency, obtained thanks to the realization of a bioclimatic greenhouse. The latter will be integrated as much as possible with the entire intervention, and, in any case, positioned in the most private and less visible part of the residence. On the first floor there will be the sleeping area, with rooms equipped with large terraces. The upper level, the attic, will allow the mitigation of the heat from solar radiation during the summer. Villas will be treated with materials – stone and plaster – already widely used in the surrounding houses. The only “sui generis” element will be the pitched roof with diagonal ridge. The adoption of this form arises from the analysis of the heterogeneity of the surrounding residences, where the roof has a dominant role, declined in different expressive forms.
