This interior design for four villas actuallyextends itself to wider and more complex aspects: internal distribution, staircases’ detailed design and overall technological-structural choices.
The assignment, which arrived after the Building Permit, required a complete rethinking of the spaces of all four residential units. It was necessary, while keeping the envelope unchanged, to optimize the energy yield of the house and improve the livability of the interiors, working on their flexibility. It was therefore decided to abandon reinforced concrete and adopt a structure in X-lam, to achieve the highest energy class. At the same time, the layout of the houses was revised, creating more connections between the open spaces and making the staircase an integrated and functional element.
