This project concerns the renovation of a large hotel located in the western quadrant of the Capital. The building, built in the 1970s, was in a high state of decay. The exteriors, the anodized aluminum and the plaster had lost much of their original shine. The effect, although the building was characterized by some interesting design choices, was that of a hotel of little value, with a scruffy and uncomfortable appearance. The design choices were to not betray the original nature of the building and to use materials that would ennoble its appearance and have a greater durability over time.
