Acky Bright: Studio Infinity showcases the rising star’s unique kawakakkoii (cute and cool) style of illustration, product design and world-building. Conceived as Acky Bright’sdesign studio, this first solo exhibition offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to meet the artist, witness his freestyle, real-time “live drawing,” and participate in making a series of dynamic manga-style murals. Performative and interactive, the exhibition will evolve as Acky Bright makes intermittentappearances, revealing his innovative illustration and design processes through working sketches, spontaneous rendering, and imaginative character development.
The exhibition underscores the impressive range of Acky Bright’s contemporary art practice from striking pop culture to commercial design and animation. His KBK-18 and Ah-Un paintings —created for the exhibition— draw inspiration from Japanese traditional theater and religious art. His WcDonald’s paper bags, and promotional campaigns including DC Comics, Hasbro Comic Book Universe, BMW, Meta, Squid Games coloring book illustrated for Netflix, and YOASOBI x Vaundy FRIES BEAT 2024 music video are exhibition highlights celebrating Acky Bright’s global impact.
